Michiana Raceway Park To Host Comprehensive Karting Clinic
mrpclinic.jpgMichiana Raceway Park, in conjunction with MRP Speed Schools, is proud to announce the return of their Summer Karting Clinic. The clinic is designed specifically for intermediate to advanced karters looking to increase their mechanical knowledge as well as their driving skill and race-craft. The two-day program is designed to be both a challenging and intense learning experience with guidance from some of the most talented kart chassis engineers, drivers and instructors in the industry.

Leading the clinic will be professional race driver/instructor and championship winning kart racer, Marc Miller. Miller has won karting championships in WKA, road-racing, oval-karting, shifterkarts and Rotax competitions or series and most recently acts as driver coach, engineer and data acquisition engineer in professional motorsports.

In addition to Miller, several of the topics will be lead by award winning drivers and mechanics, Tim and Chris Lobaugh, particular in regards to chassis and engine tuning.

The curriculum will be inclusive of all things not normally covered in introductory courses or shared by competitors.

Curriculum:  Will include the following topics
• Chassis Dynamics and Tuning
• Mental & Physical Focus and Preparation
• Driving Techniques and Theory
• Passing Drills and Race Craft
• Advanced one-on-one driving instruction
• Hands on mechanical training
• Data Acquisition Analysis (where applicable)
• Rotax Driving technique tips

“This is a pretty big endeavor,” said Marc Miller, Advanced Coach and Professional Driver for MRP Motorsport. “It is uncommon for racers to have the opportunity to learn the things that have taken most of us several years to pick up, but this clinic is designed to introduce participants to topics that could really help their game and open them up to ideas that could step up their performance to an all new level.”

Lunches and a dinner is included and the bonus is the fee includes driver and their parent/mechanic to learn alongside them as the curriculum is designed to educate on mechanical, mental and physical levels.

“We expect that participants will receive a very large value and leave the clinic with a hunger and ability to focus on certain aspects of what they have learned to fine-tune their performance,” continued Miller.
